Cervejas de Moçambique (CDM) and its Executive Administrator, Bruno Tembe, were honored this Monday in Maputo by the World Customs Organization (WCO). The award, presented through the General Directorate of Customs of Mozambique, recognizes the exceptional service provided to the international customs community and is part of the celebrations of International Customs Day.
According to OMA, the distinction is due to CDM's role as one of the country's main economic pillars. The company is considered a strategic partner of the State in collecting tax revenue, generating employment, and boosting the value chain of the industrial sector, thus contributing to the economic growth and sustainable development of Mozambique.
Upon receiving the award, Bruno Tembe highlighted that the recognition represents an incentive for the company to continue investing in the country. “The feeling is one of gratitude for having this entity recognize our work and the contribution that, as a company, we have made to improving the business environment in our sector, as well as to guaranteeing the Government's tax revenues,” he stated.
In addition to the fiscal impact, Bruno Tembe mentioned that Cervejas de Moçambique has made significant investments in its teams, in the optimization and sustainability of its production and marketing processes, and, above all, in strengthening institutional relationships with public and private stakeholders. The excellent relationship with Customs is a clear example of this commitment.
