BCI supports the launch of two works by Vicente Sitoe

On Monday, November 24th, the Commercial and Investment Bank (BCI) held an event at its headquarters auditorium in Maputo to launch the books "HR with an H for Human" and "Essay on a Manifesto," authored by human resources management consultant Vicente Sitoe.

Both works represent a significant contribution to their respective fields. On the one hand, "HR with an H for Human" invites reflection on the humanization of human resource management, highlighting human relations as the foundation of organizations. On the other hand, "Essay on a Manifesto" proposes a bold analysis in the field of political sociology, discussing the deepening relations between Mozambique and South Africa.

On the occasion, the Director of the Human Resources Department at BCI, Neusa Will, congratulated the author and highlighted the relevance of the topic. “By sponsoring the book 'HR with an H for Human', BCI recognizes not only the author's career, but also  the relevance of the topic, which opens up an important space for reflection,” she stated.

According to her, "Addressing a humanistic approach to people management means thinking about the future and building a culture that values differences, allowing all employees to feel part of the company." She added that it's about creating an organizational culture that recognizes the uniqueness of each individual, transforming employees into true ambassadors of the institution. "Ultimately, it's about promoting a commitment to the institution's greater purpose, ensuring that all of us, in our different roles, live out our commitment to it," she concluded.

For his part, Vicente Sitoe chose to leave the pleasure of discovering the books' contents to the reader. However, he expressed deep gratitude to BCI "for its remarkable effort in promoting knowledge, books, and social responsibility." The author recalled that, in 2016, the Bank had already hosted the launch of another of his works, a gesture that, he stressed, proves that "I can always count on your support." Finally, he extended his thanks to all those who contributed to the realization of the project.

It is worth remembering that Vicente Sitoe, who has a degree in Human Resources, already has four published works, three of which were launched with the support of BCI.
