BCI promotes financial literacy for artists

On Thursday (20), a financial education session for artists was held at the BCI Media Library in Maputo, as part of the Global Money Week (GMW), celebrated from 17 to 23 March. The session was organized in partnership with the Mozambican-German Cultural Center (CCMA).

Under the motto "Exploring Opportunities in Entrepreneurship: Financial Strategies for Artists", the lecture was led by social activist Mariza Dias, who addressed essential topics on financial management and economic sustainability in the artistic sector.

Representing BCI, Regional Commercial Director Ângelo Mazive recalled BCI’s continued support for culture and artists, highlighting the importance of sustainability as a key vector for economic and social development. “At BCI, we believe that sustainable actions are essential to strengthen the growth of strategic sectors of the economy,” said Mazive.

In this 13th edition of Global Money Week, and under the theme "Reflect before you move: Wise finances today, success tomorrow", BCI promoted several initiatives aimed at university students, high school students and artists.

BCI remains dedicated to promoting financial education and encouraging savings habits, with the aim of preparing future generations for a more conscious financial life.

The event was enthusiastically received by the audience, providing a dynamic and interactive environment. Participants showed great interest in deepening the knowledge acquired and in applying the strategies discussed to strengthen their artistic careers. With this initiative, BCI reaffirms its commitment to financial literacy and the development of the cultural sector in Mozambique.
