BCI hosts the exhibition “Social Gaze” and reinforces its commitment to art and sustainability

The auditorium of the BCI Headquarters building hosted, on Wednesday, May 20th, the visual arts exhibition “Social Gaze”, by Xamit (Alcides Victor Mitilana), in an initiative that reaffirms the Bank's commitment to promoting art, environmental awareness and community involvement.

The exhibition proposes a sensory and reflective experience, aligned with the values ​​of social responsibility and sustainability. The artist presents a set of masks produced from recycled materials, establishing a link between artistic expression, ecological awareness, and cultural identity.

At the opening ceremony, BCI representative Farhana Razak, Central Director of Risk Management, highlighted that "this exhibition is one of the tangible proofs of BCI's support for art and its commitment to sustainability." She added that the defense of biodiversity plays a central role in the Bank's actions, translating into concrete actions that combine creativity and environmental preservation.

Farhana Razak further emphasized that, in a year in which BCI celebrates 30 years of existence, the initiative reinforces the Bank's position as a benchmark institution in supporting projects that value national talent and promote sustainable development. "Promoting what is from here is part of BCI's mission. Because the future is from here," she stated.

In turn, the artist Xamit thanked BCI for its support and everyone involved in making the exhibition a reality, stating that "the social gaze makes me who I am, what I try to represent, on an environmental level," expressing the hope that the exhibition will spark reflection and new perspectives among the public.

The exhibition will be on display in the atrium of the BCI auditorium until May 30th.
