The FEIMA Amphitheater was transformed into a stage of art, emotion, and imagination to celebrate MINA's 5th anniversary and the launch of its new collection, "Light & Shadow." In an encounter that fused fashion, performance, sound, and image, the audience was immersed in an experience, witnessing the beginning of a creative phase marked by maturity and a profoundly contemporary aesthetic.
The event brought together guests, press, designers, and partners, confirming MINA's position as one of the most relevant brands in contemporary Mozambican fashion. The space became multidisciplinary, where each element—from light and sound to visual projections and movement—harmoniously interacted with the collection's narrative.
Pak N'Djamena's performance gave body and movement to the concept, while William Larson's visual installations and João Roxo's projections created a fascinating dialogue between image and fashion. Nandel's sound curation engaged the senses, and Gitanila Matos's (Flor Real) decoration added a natural and sophisticated touch. This fusion transformed the event into one of the most remarkable cultural moments of the end of the year in Maputo.
Presented for the first time, the “Light & Shadow” collection reflects human duality and the aesthetic evolution of the brand. Through clean cuts, natural fabrics, and a deep color palette, the collection explores themes such as introspection, vulnerability, rebirth, and the contrast between visibility and intimacy. Each piece embodies the identity that MINA has built over five years: minimalist, emotional, handcrafted, and intrinsically contemporary.
“This event was more than a presentation; it was a reunion with the essence of my brand and my own history. 'Light & Shadow' is a milestone for MINA and a way to thank everyone who has walked with us these past five years.” — Shaazia Adam, Creative Director of MINA.
The evening was sponsored primarily by BCI and supported by partners such as CDM/Corona, Serenity Spa, and Socimpex, as well as numerous collaborators in the areas of production, beauty, and communication.
Fueled by the event's success, MINA is now preparing new cultural activations, pop-ups in Mozambique and South Africa, and the expansion of its distribution to African concept stores. The brand maintains its focus on local production, sustainability, youth empowerment, and the principles of slow fashion, reaffirming its commitment to a creative and conscious future.
