Moza Banco recently participated in the Entrepreneur Forum in Maputo, a meeting that brought together public and private entities with the aim of discussing opportunities and challenges related to emerging entrepreneurship in Mozambique.
During the meeting, the Bank spoke to more than one hundred young entrepreneurs interested in strengthening their knowledge of financing methodologies in the national banking sector, particularly regarding subsidized lines of support for business growth.
Representing Moza, Amâncio Zita presented the list of financing solutions for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises at Moza, highlighting the financing lines dedicated to agribusiness, with greater emphasis on FECOP - Portuguese Business Cooperation Fund, FIDA - International Fund for Agricultural Development and FSA - Food Security Fund.
The FSA is specifically designed for small entrepreneurs, both individuals and companies, in the agribusiness sector, supporting key value chain needs, including the production of crops that contribute to food security, marketing activities, storage and processing of agricultural products, animal production, and the provision of support services to the agricultural sector. For individuals, financing can range from 240,000 meticais to 2,500,000 meticais, while companies have a minimum of 1,500,000 meticais to 30,000,000 meticais. The applied rates do not exceed 14%, and the term varies from 6 to 60 months.
In addition to presenting opportunities created by the Bank itself, Moza also presented other lines of credit made available in partnership with external entities, highlighting the Public Fund for Agricultural Development and Rural Extension aimed at the southern and central regions of the country.
There was also space to present the EIB Line, through which, with subsidized rates, Moza makes available 10 million euros from the European Investment Bank to finance, above all, projects that safeguard gender equality, with women as the main target.
In detail, the BEI Line providestreasury and investment support products with a minimum financing amount of 200,000 meticais and a maximum of 5,000,000 meticais, with associated interest not exceeding 15% and may vary depending on the amount, term or type of each client.
Financing lines available through Moza can be accessed at any bank branch. Interested parties should approach the bank and obtain all the necessary information to request disbursements.
Organized by Anita Corporation under a program called “Emerging Company,” the meeting brought together public and private entities, including the Mozambique Tax Authority, the National Social Security Institute and the Mozambique Stock Exchange.
With this strategic participation, Moza once again reinforces its openness to supporting national entrepreneurship, making financing happen for business projects that promote the country's development.
