Luís Munguambe Júnior"
I can't take it anymore. I and many other teachers are fed up with promises that are never kept, with blatant lies and with a government that has no respect whatsoever for those who really make a difference in the country. While the political class continues to eat and drink at luxurious tables, we, who work in schools, try to survive with the little they give us. We are being treated as if education were a burden, a last-minute obligation, and not a priority.
Delays in salaries? They are a constant, a daily humiliation. They know what is happening, but they prefer to close their eyes and give lame excuses. This is not a one-off mistake, but a chronic problem. We can no longer stand promises of raises, better working conditions, a future that never comes. What I receive at the end of the month is not worthy of someone who works so hard to shape the future of our children. But it seems that this does not matter to those in power.
And what revolts me the most is the way the government deals with our complaints. How many times have we heard the same speech? “We will resolve it”, “we are working to improve”, “this year will be different”. And in the end, nothing. Nothing changes. The conditions continue to be terrible. The salaries continue to be shameful. And with each passing day, our patience grows thinner. There is no more room to wait. There is no more room to believe in empty promises.
What's coming? A new strike. It's not just because of delayed salaries. It's not just because of working conditions. No. The main reason is disrespect. The reason is the way they ignore us, as if we were just disposable parts in the system. And that, my friends, we can no longer accept. The strike will be a cry of resistance, of indignation, of those who no longer have anything to lose. The people will see it, because we, the teachers, are the foundation of society. We are the ones who make the future doctors, engineers, lawyers and leaders of this country.
And let’s be clear: we are not just fighting for our rights. We are fighting for a better future for everyone. If the government doesn’t listen this time, then we will have to show that we are not willing to continue to be treated as invisible. Our strike will not be just another one. It will be the end of a cycle of lies and a cry for justice that can no longer be silenced.
