Trump leaves UNESCO

Last Tuesday, Donald Trump's United States officially withdrew from the Paris-based United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), shortly after its withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO).

Quoted by RTP “The United States' decision to withdraw from UNESCO for the second time in less than five years is not just another diplomatic maneuver. It is a direct blow to projects that keep hope alive in some of the most vulnerable communities, such as Mozambique.”.

Recently, almost 2,500 people lost their jobs at USAID, which undermines the economy in a way that leaves more and more families adrift.
