Tropical Storm “Chenge” Forms Off Madagascar and May Reach the Mozambique Channel

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) announced the formation of tropical storm "Chenge," originating east of Madagascar. The phenomenon, which originated from a low-pressure system, is expected to reach the Mozambique Channel on Saturday, October 25th. So far, it poses no direct threat to mainland Mozambique.

Even so, meteorological authorities continue to monitor the storm's evolution, as changes in its path are not ruled out. INAM urges the population, especially in coastal areas, to remain alert for future official announcements.
