Trevo residents demand expulsion of military officer for assaulting minor daughter

Residents of the Trevo neighborhood in the city of Matola are demanding the expulsion of a military officer accused of physically assaulting his own minor daughter. According to reports, the child is constantly mistreated, punished even for her brother's behavior, and forbidden from playing with other children.

 Given the gravity of the allegations, residents are demanding that the minor be returned to her mother, currently living in Lichinga, and are appealing for authorities to intervene to protect the minor's well-being. The accused, contacted by phone, denied the allegations, stating that they "are not true."
