The 61st edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) has already begun, and until September 6th, the Ricatla International Fair and Exhibition Centre in Marracuene will once again be the main stage for the debate on the country's economic and technological future. With the motto "Digital and Energy Transformation Towards a Sustainable Economy," the event is once again positioned as a strategic platform for presenting innovative solutions, celebrating partnerships, and attracting investment aimed at modernizing the national economy.
In this scenario, TMcel stands out as one of the main agents of this change. The national operator is present at FACIM with a dual objective: to reaffirm its role as a technological partner of the State, businesses and families, and to demonstrate, in practice, how its infrastructure...-structure and solutionçõtelecommunicationsções esttheto servewthe one that transformsherethe digital of the pais.
To this end, the company occupies two prominent spaces at the fair — the State Business Sector Pavilion (SEE) and the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation (MCTD) Pavilion. This strategy allows for a balanced reconciliation of TMcel's institutional dimension with a strong technological and commercial focus, which translates into live demonstrations of solutions, close contact with visitors, and openness to new strategic partnerships.
Infrastructure reinforcement-structure ensures network isthevel during FACIM
Aware of the significant increase in telecommunications traffic during the event, TMcel prepared in advance to ensure a seamless connectivity experience. Three new sites were activated on the premises, bringing the total number of mobile network access points to four — representing a considerable leap in capacity available to visitors, exhibitors, and installed services.
Furthermore, indoor coverage was also enhanced with 3G/4G equipment in 13 pavilions and in high-traffic areas, such as the main entrance. In parallel, the operator implemented a dedicated fiber optic network, specifically designed to provide high-capacity connectivity to all exhibiting companies and entities present.
This investment not only addresses the immediate needs of the trade fair, but also serves as a real-world testing ground—with a high density of users—to demonstrate the robustness of the solutions that TMcel provides to organizations in their daily operations.
As Mahomed Mussá, President of the TMcel Management Committee, emphasized: “Our participation in FACIM goes beyond institutional or commercial presence. We want to prove, with facts, that TMcel has the infrastructure.”-structure, technology and knowledgetherivers to drive transformationhereMo's digitalwMozambique. The country needs robust, secure, and accessible connectivity — to modernize the state, make businesses more competitive, and promote true digital inclusion.”
Business solutions for a new digital paradigm
In the business segment, TMcel's strategy is based on an integrated portfolio of services designed to meet the growing demands for connectivity, security, scalability, and operational efficiency. Among the main solutions presented at FACIM are:
- High-performance connectivity — with Dedicated Link and Dedicated Internet solutions, TMcel ensures a stable, high-capacity connection, essential for organizations that depend on continuous communications, critical applications, cloud services, and digital platforms.
- Secure networks and communications — the Private IP service allows offices, branches, and data centers to be interconnected through private networks, significantly reducing exposure to threats from the public Internet. SIP Trunk modernizes business telephony systems by integrating voice over IP, providing greater flexibility and cost reduction.

With this combination of solutions, TMcel positions itself not only as a telecommunications provider, but as a leading technology partner for companies and institutions seeking to accelerate their digital transformation.
Home internet: the digital transformation also begins at home.
TMcel's presence at FACIM is not limited to the corporate world. The operator also reserves a prominent space for the residential segment, presenting its internet packages adapted to the new needs of Mozambican families.
“Digital transformation doesn’t just happen in large companies or public institutions — it also happens at home, when a family can work, study, communicate, access digital services, and enjoy quality content. That’s why we’re showcasing our residential internet solutions at FACIM,” Mahomed Mussá emphasized.
With this participation, TMcel clearly and consistently reaffirms its ambition to actively contribute to building a more connected, competitive, and inclusive national digital ecosystem — supporting the State, businesses, and families at different levels of Mozambique's digital transformation.
