The mayor of Xai-Xai rewards young entrepreneurs with certification and self-employment kits

Following the success achieved in previous training sessions held in the provinces of Manica and Inhambane, where 73 women and young people were empowered, a new wave of entrepreneurs from Xai-Xai took a further step in developing their businesses and entrepreneurial skills with the training of 21 more entrepreneurs who also completed their training this Tuesday in the city of Xai-Xai.

The training combined practical management knowledge with the provision of work tools, allowing participants to immediately apply the acquired knowledge to their business activities and create better conditions for the growth of their businesses.

The training was provided by AIESEC, an international non-profit organization, in partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Mozambique, as part of the Women and Youth Empowerment and Enhancement (VEMJ) initiative.

The President of the Municipal Council of the City of Xai-Xai, Ossemane Adamo, welcomed the initiative and praised the support provided to young people through access.

to opportunities for training, job creation and delivery of work kits, as well as through the continuous dissemination of market opportunities.

"It is with great satisfaction that, on behalf of the Municipal Council, we witness this important initiative to recognize and value the young people who have successfully completed their training in the areas of Planning, Budgeting and Sales," said the Mayor of Xai-Xai.

“We want to congratulate the young beneficiaries for their demonstrated effort and dedication and thank Coca-Cola Mozambique for going beyond recognition by providing work kits, creating concrete conditions for self-employment and income generation. This initiative demonstrates that when the private sector and public institutions work in partnership, we can transform training into concrete opportunities for our young people,” said Ossemano Adamo.

"We take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to always collaborate with other partners in identifying and supporting more young people with the potential to create their own jobs and, tomorrow, generate jobs for other young people," concluded the president of the Xai-Xai Municipal Council.
