Today, The Hood Brodz's new single, "Down," is officially available on all digital platforms. The release marks the collective's return after the impact of "Ki Kouler," a track featuring Sibu Manai, and comes with a significant collaboration: Ellputo, who not only participates in the track but also co-produced, mixed, and mastered it with the duo. The musical composition is by Hélio Beatz.
The Hood Brodz remain true to their Afrohouse and Afrotech style, a sonic territory that distinguishes them through the fusion of deep electronic rhythms. In “Down,” this identity is not only preserved but deepened. The track breathes dance, but carries a contained intensity that reveals the maturity of the project. The duo proves, once again, that it is possible to be heavy without losing fluidity, and to be technical without losing soul.
Ellputo enters this ecosystem as a fundamental piece. Recognized in the circuit for the precision of his work, he brings to "Down" a signature that perfectly balances the weight of Afrohouse with the sophistication of Afrotech. His intervention in the mixing and mastering guarantees perfect rhythmic harmony. More than a guest, Ellputo is a co-architect of the music.
“Down” is now available for streaming and download. The music video, in keeping with the collective's raw and immersive aesthetic, will be revealed in the coming days. A word of warning: The Hood Brodz aren't here to please everyone. They're here to make you move.
