The 5th edition of "The Right to Dream" brings together hundreds of women in Maputo to boost female leadership

The ª edition of the “Right to Dream” program will take place on November 27th at the Hotel Glória in Maputo. This is the largest forum for reflection dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and engaging women, with the central objective of promoting gender equality and female leadership in all socio-economic sectors of Mozambique.

Integrated into the Confia Initiative of the Foundation for Citizenship and Human Rights, the "Right to Dream" project seeks to create a safe space for sharing transformative experiences with significant potential to positively impact the lives of women and girls.

Led by Eulália Nhatitima, Executive Director of the foundation and Patron of the Confia Initiative, the program has the support of several women and partners, providing mentoring and training programs accessible to women from all social strata.

The 2023 edition promises to be even more impactful. According to Nhatitima, the success of the 4th edition serves as a foundation for this new stage. “With each edition, we become more convinced of the strength of women and their willingness to support each other. In the last edition, we managed to bring together more than 800 women in the same space, all sharing the same purpose: to make Mozambique a reference in female empowerment and leadership,” she stated.

A striking new feature of this edition is the inclusion of men in the panel discussions. For the first time, prominent figures from the public and private sectors – including leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians, and academics – were invited to participate as strategic partners in the process of women's empowerment, enriching the dialogue with their perspectives.

Registration for the event is still open. The invitation is particularly extended to all women who aspire to contribute, at various levels, to building a more equal and prosperous Mozambique.

Implemented on a biennial basis, the "Right to Dream" Program held its last edition last July at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Center in Maputo.
