The Higher Institute of Transport and Communications (ISUTC), through ISUTC Executive Education, held a round table discussion on July 23rd, focusing on the theme 'Training, Talent and the Future of Work'.
The initiative brought together 20 public and private companies in a workshop dedicated to reflecting on the challenges and opportunities of talent management in organizations, in a context where continuous training, leadership, and adaptation to new market skills are assuming an increasingly strategic role.
The round table included the participation of Dr. Vilza Cassamo, from UINGE Training Center, Dr. Solange Cuber Vicente, from SCV Consulting, and Dr. Vicente Sitoe, from SDO Mozambique.
The guests addressed topics related to continuous training, talent development and retention, leadership, team management, and the skills required for the future of work, in a context marked by digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and new models of work organization.
In her presentation, Dr. Vilza Cassamo argued that training must be aligned with organizational strategy to generate real impact. "Training without strategy is spending. Training with strategy is investing. The difference lies in deciding on alignment before implementation, not after," stated the representative from UINGE Training Center.
The initiative reinforced the importance of creating spaces for dialogue between leaders, managers, and institutions that play a decisive role in the training, development, and retention of talent in Mozambique.
According to the Director of Training at ISUTC Executive Education, Dr. Cheila Hoana, bringing these stakeholders together represents a continuation of the institution's commitment to the development of people and organizations. “Bringing together those who make decisions about people in Mozambique is not a one-off event; it is the commitment that defines ISUTC Executive Education.” “This roundtable was another step in that direction, and we left with a reinforced certainty: investing in people has ceased to be a management option and has become a condition for the survival of organizations. ISUTC Executive Education will continue to be the space where this conversation takes place,” she stated.
This initiative aligns with ISUTC Executive Education's commitment to promoting spaces for sharing, updating, and developing skills geared towards the current challenges of organizations and the job market.
