
The Province of Inhambane has been the site of the discovery of strategic resources for the State and for the development of local communities. To promote the sharing of gains resulting from the exploitation of natural and energy resources on national soil, the Government of Mozambique has been undertaking a series of actions aimed at ensuring that Mozambicans take the lead in exploiting their resources, based on mastery of science and technology.
To that effect, the Secretary of State in the Province of Inhambane, Arsénia Felicidade Félix Massingue, said on Friday, on the occasion of the delivery of41 laptops were provided to trainers in the fields of Mathematics and Engineering, as part of the efforts to boost activities in the sector.Technical and Vocational Educationthat"It is based on the results of these efforts that we believe the education sector can continue to witness better days."
Arsénia Massingue emphasizes that "it is impossible to dream of the development of our Province without fostering a taste for Mathematics, Engineering, and exact sciences in our communities and educational institutions." "Only with knowledge and mastery of these areas, and with the establishment of a robust infrastructure network geared towards creating diverse opportunities for the transformation and commercialization of our resources, will we continue to provide training for citizens oriented towards entrepreneurship and innovation, capable of creating their own jobs and the opportunities we all aspire to."
The governor stated at the time that, with the delivery of the computers, "we intend to challenge those responsible for Technical and Vocational Education in our Province to contribute to increased production and productivity in various sectors that can galvanize the development of communities, generating greater internal, regional and national competitiveness."
The leader reminded the recipients that the equipment they received is public property, and therefore "should serve as tools for training and improving practical skills, based on a future vision that the country needs, and that the results will serve to continue the path towards the development of the Province, and may quality technical and vocational training thrive in the Province of Inhambane."
With the delivery of the computers, Arsénia Massingue instructed the beneficiaries to increase productivity in order to boost the development of their communities, generating greater internal, regional, and national competitiveness.
Massingue appealed for the goods received to serve as tools for training and improving practical skills, based on a future vision for the development of the province.
