The ceremony marks the 62nd anniversary of the Mozambican Armed Forces under the motto "Role of the Mozambican Armed Forces in Guaranteeing Sovereignty and Integrity".

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, highlighted this Friday the importance of modernizing the Mozambican Armed Forces (FADM), during the central ceremonies of Armed Forces Day, celebrated this year in the province of Inhambane, under the motto "Role of the Mozambican Armed Forces in Guaranteeing Sovereignty and Integrity".

"Even in the rain, our brave soldiers remain steadfast and ready to defend the homeland and fight the terrorism that plagues some regions of our country," said the President, visibly moved.

The ceremony was also marked by the awarding of medals to fellow citizens who distinguished themselves in the defense of national sovereignty and in the fight against terrorism, in a gesture of recognition for their valor and dedication to the national cause.

The event also featured a military parade, a procession, and a display of military equipment, demonstrating the operational capacity and human training of the security forces. The exhibition included demonstrations of the physical and technical preparation of the personnel, reflecting the continuous investment in the modernization and professionalization of the Mozambican Armed Forces (FADM).
