Opening of the "Art Corridors" Project and the "Between Memories and New Perspectives" Exhibition

March 25th was the launch of the "Art Corridors" project, an initiative by the Municipality of Matola that includes 25 exhibitions at the Municipal Gallery/Museum, promoting local art and culture. I had the honor of being the first artist to inaugurate this cycle, marking the beginning of a journey that will open space for various talents throughout the year.

In this context, the exhibition "Between Memories and New Perspectives" is on display at the Matola Municipal Museum/Gallery, which can be visited from March 25 to April 10. The exhibition brings together works already on display and new creations, proposing a dialogue between the past and the present. It rescues memories that shaped my artistic career and presents new perspectives that emerge from this journey.

In addition to the paintings and artistic pieces, the T'Savas are also highlighted in this exhibition, bringing to the public not only the aesthetics and functionality of these original baskets, but also the history and cultural essence that inspire them. Each T'Sava carries the tradition of straw reinterpreted with sophistication, creating a bridge between ancestry and contemporary fashion.

Through colors, textures and materials, "Between Memories and New Perspectives" invites the public on a sensorial journey, where memories intertwine with new interpretations of art, creating bridges between tradition and innovation.
