The Provincial Secretariat of the National Union of Journalists (SNJ) in Niassa will, for the first time, have its own premises starting Friday, the 17th. This is a rented building, equipped with the SNJ's own funds, which will allow members of the Union's grassroots bodies in that province to have a suitable space to work and socialize. The formal handover of the headquarters of the Provincial Secretariat of the National Union of Journalists in Niassa will be led by the Secretary-General of the SNJ, Faruco Sadique, who will travel to Lichinga for this purpose. This activity is part of the celebrations of April 11th, the anniversary of this union organization and Mozambican Journalist's Day, this year marked under the motto "SNJ: 48 years for Ethics, Freedom of the Press and Labor Justice". While still in Lichinga, Faruco Sadique will visit the SNJ Local Committees established in various media outlets and participate in a debate with journalists focused on the challenges of ethics and professional conduct in Mozambican journalism. In accordance with its electoral manifesto, the SNJ Executive Secretariat is working to gradually create conditions for the establishment of headquarters for the Union's provincial bodies where they do not yet exist.
