The new privatized parking lot near the Zimpeto National Stadium in Maputo is now operational. With a capacity for approximately two thousand vehicles, this infrastructure aims to resolve the problem of disorganized parking in the area, especially near the Wholesale Market and the Bus Terminal.
In addition to better organization, the space offers improved security conditions and is well-received by motorists and local businesses. According to these users, the fees charged should not have a negative impact on their activities.
The park's management is being coordinated with the Municipal Mobility and Parking Company, which has already launched an awareness campaign for the correct use of the new space. In parallel, the municipality plans to place "no parking" signs on the sidewalks to definitively discourage illegal parking.
This initiative also represents a financial boost, as it will contribute to the profitability of the Sports Heritage Fund, thus ensuring the conservation of the Zimpeto National Stadium itself.
