
The national under-17 football team won yesterday, Saturday, August 16, the Luso-Cascais Tournament held in Portugal against Guinea-Bissau by a score of 3-2. The winning goals were scored by Chausson with a brace and Jayden.
In this second edition of the competition, the team led by Luís Guerreiro came back strong to win the competition for the first time.
The Mambinhas emerged undefeated from the competition, winning every match. They beat Macau 6-2, São Tomé 3-1, Angola 3-0, and now, in the final, Guinea-Bissau 3-2.
In total, in 4 games, the Mambinhas scored 15 goals and conceded 5.
Chausson Nhabanga was elected the best player of the Luso Cascais Tournament.
In the previous edition, our team finished in 3rd place, while Brazil won the competition.
