Moza Club awarded internationally

 Moza Banco’s Social Arm, Clube Moza, was recently distinguished in London with the prestigious Best CSR Program for Employee Engagement Mozambique 2025 award, in recognition of its actions to mobilize and engage the Bank’s employees in various social and philanthropic activities. The award was given by Global Banking Finance Review, a renowned British magazine focused on the financial sector.

According to the promoting entity, several indicators made Clube Moza eligible for the award, with emphasis on the active involvement of its members in social responsibility and volunteering programs, thus providing social inclusion, education and environmental preservation.

Among the various programs currently carried out by Clube Moza, the most notable are “Vamos Plantar Arvores” - which involves planting around 1 million trees along the entire Mozambican coast to contain erosion; and the “Ciclo Solidário” project - an initiative dedicated to promoting menstrual dignity and equal opportunities for vulnerable girls in public schools in remote regions of the country.

In addition to implementing projects with considerable external benefits, Clube Moza also develops several activities aimed at the internal public, namely the promotion and encouragement of the practice of various sports and entertainment modalities, fostering closeness, unity and empathy among employees. 

According to the President of the Executive Committee (PCE) of Moza Banco, Manuel Soares, the actions of Clube Moza are aligned with the Bank's main values ​​and contribute to everyone feeling part of the institutional growth.

“Clube Moza is an association that capitalizes on the Bank’s values, making each of us internalize the sense of belonging, living the ambition of growth, renewing resilience and integrity in challenging times and, above all, reinforcing the sense of unity so that we can understand that no one walks alone, and only together do we win”. The CEO highlighted.

The President of Clube Moza, Inácio Fernando, states that the award represents an important milestone in the institution's trajectory.

The involvement of our employees and volunteers is the driving force behind our initiatives, making it possible to generate a positive impact on society. This award belongs to everyone who believes in the power of volunteering and social responsibility.”

Based on this recognition, Clube Moza, its members and volunteers place the Bank's name on the international list of institutions that stand out most in the design and implementation of corporate activities of considerable impact and social relevance.
