Mayor of Chimoio defends replacement of truck burned in Maputo

The Mayor of Chimoio, João Ferreira, lamented the destruction of a truck and an excavator at the Hulene landfill in Maputo, during acts of vandalism by garbage collectors. The equipment had been loaned by Chimoio to enhance solid waste collection.

 Although he believes Maputo is not directly to blame, the mayor argues that it should participate in the recovery of the destroyed truck. He also reinforced his commitment to continue supporting other municipalities, highlighting the importance of cooperation between municipalities.
