Maputo Railway beats Textáfrica from Chimoio

Ferroviário de Maputo defeated Textáfrica de Chimoio 3-0 in the fifth round of the Moçambola Championship, played at Grupo Afrin's stadium. With this victory, the capital's locomotives take the lead in the competition with 11 points.

The match began with Ferroviário de Maputo on the attack, dominating the first half. The first goal came in the sixth minute, when Leo lost the ball. Celso took advantage to dribble past two opponents and set up Naftal, who, with an open goal, made no mistake and made it 1-0. Carlos Sampaio's team tried twice to extend their lead, but Textáfrica's goalkeeper was alert. The teams went into halftime with the score at 1-0.

In the second half, Ferroviário de Maputo extended their lead in the 15th minute, with Sampaio scoring the second goal (2-0). Soon after, Victor Malino had a clear opportunity to score the third, but with the goal wide open, he shot wide. The rout was confirmed in the 36th minute, when newly substituted Hoopsi scored the third goal, his first in the Moçambola, assisted by Nelson Manuel.

With this result, Ferroviário de Maputo takes the lead in the championship with 11 points, followed by Chingale de Tete.
