Maputo hosts the 4th Activist Symposium with participants from over 20 countries

The 4th edition of the Activist Symposium on Governance, Research and Best Practices kicked off yesterday in the Mozambican capital, an event that brings together activists, researchers and representatives of civil society from more than 20 countries for three days. The initiative is promoted by the DECIDE Platform, in partnership with CALS, Wits University, CIVICUS and other organizations.

Under the motto "From knowledge to impact: strengthening partnerships for inclusive and social governance," the meeting aims to discuss more inclusive and participatory governance models committed to freedom of expression and of the press.

The program includes panels on mental health, human rights, and civic participation, as well as exchange sessions and an art exhibition. The symposium runs until September 18 and aims to strengthen cooperation networks among participants, transforming knowledge into concrete action.
