Mozambique's national team, the Mambas, registered a further drop in the FIFA World Ranking, released this Wednesday (19). The team dropped one position, abandoning 101st place to now settle in 102nd position, with 1223.48 points.

This drop is directly attributed to the results obtained in the last international match window.

On the one hand, the narrow defeat against a strong Moroccan team (1-0) and, on the other hand, the surprising draw against Chad (2-2) affected the team's performance in the ranking.

 Downward Trend and Turnaround Opportunity

 Thus, the Mambas have been unable to halt a negative trajectory for several months, without any improvement in the FIFA rankings. However, a crucial opportunity to reverse this scenario is on the horizon: the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). In this high-level competition, victories and overall performance award a significantly higher number of ranking points.

Consequently, the team's focus is already on the next training camp, scheduled for December. The objective will be to intensively prepare for participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
