As part of the celebrations for the Day of the Mozambican Armed Forces (FADM), which is observed on September 25th, former Head of State Joaquim Chissano appealed for everyone's commitment to the fight against terrorism. For the former statesman, the date constitutes a fundamental historical milestone for the country.
"It is the date on which our country became known to the world, and in a very good way, because for a long time it was considered the day of international solidarity with the Mozambican people," Chissano stated.
It was in this context that the former President of the Republic underlined the importance of the anniversary, urging all Mozambicans to participate in the fight against the challenges facing the country, with particular emphasis on terrorism.
