
FUNDEC – the Foundation for Community Development – recently hosted a delegation from the Embassy of the United States of America, in a meeting that marked a significant step in strengthening dialogue between Mozambican institutions and international partners.
During the session, the FUNDEC team presented the economic outlook for Mozambique up to 2026, highlighting macroeconomic scenarios, investment opportunities in productive sectors, and the structural challenges the country faces in accelerating inclusive growth.
On the American side, diplomats expressed interest in ongoing reforms to improve the business environment, fiscal stability, and the role of the private sector as an engine of economic diversification. Issues related to business competitiveness, bilateral trade, and the need for technical capacity building for small and medium-sized enterprises were also discussed.
The meeting is part of FUNDEC's strategy to deepen dialogue with international partners on matters related to economic development, business competitiveness, investment, international trade and strengthening the Mozambican private sector, reaffirming the institution's commitment to promoting partnerships that generate real value for the national economy.
