Fuel shortages have once again been felt in the cities of Maputo and Matola, where motorists are facing long lines at gas stations and difficulties finding gasoline and diesel.
In the city of Matola, the demand for fuel has increased significantly in recent hours, leading to long lines of vehicles at various gas stations. Many drivers claim to be unaware of the causes of the situation, but say they are concerned about the lack of fuel.
Some motorists report having visited several gas stations without success. Some claim to have passed two or more pumps during the morning without being able to refuel their vehicles due to a lack of fuel.
The same scenario is occurring in the city of Maputo, where several gas stations are experiencing stock shortages. Drivers interviewed on site stated that they drove past more than four gas stations before finding one with fuel available.
The situation has caused disruptions to the mobility of citizens and businesses, forcing many motorists to remain in queues for several hours in the hope of obtaining fuel.
To date, the relevant authorities have not yet provided an official explanation for the causes of the shortage, nor have they offered a timeline for the normalization of supplies.
