Fidelity Mozambique has a new PCE

Vítor Bandeira is the new Chairman of the Executive Committee (PCE) of Fidelidade Moçambique, assuming, from this date, the executive leadership of the Insurance Company. The appointment is the result of the General Meeting held on March 28, in which the new governing bodies of Fidelidade Moçambique were elected for the three-year period 2025–2027, following which the Board of Directors appointed the new Executive Committee. The new PCE succeeds Carlos Leitão, who led the Company for the last 10 years.

Fidelidade Moçambique expresses its deep appreciation to the outgoing Executive Committee for the work carried out, strategic vision and resilience demonstrated throughout the term, thus contributing decisively to the growth and consolidation of the Company in the Mozambican insurance market and also to its development.

Vítor Bandeira, aged 60, has a degree in Management, a postgraduate degree in Communication and Marketing and another in Risk Management and Expertise. He has a 37-year career in the insurance sector. Before taking over as CEO of Fidelidade Moçambique, he served as CEO of GEP – Gestão de Peritagens, SA, in Portugal.

Throughout his professional career, he has accumulated extensive experience in various commercial and insurance business areas, standing out for his strategic knowledge and leadership skills. In recent years, Fidelidade Moçambique has achieved important milestones, including the integration of the Fidelidade and Ímpar brands, which gave rise to the Fidelidade Ímpar brand.

Also noteworthy is the inauguration of the new headquarters, in one of the most noble areas of Maputo, with modern and functional facilities that reflect its identity and values; the opening of two new agencies, in Maputo and Pemba; and the certification, in 2023, by Great Place to Work, the most prestigious international award that recognizes the Insurer's commitment to the well-being of its people.

Another important milestone is that Fidelidade Moçambique remains the only Mozambican insurer with a high international Financial Strength Rating (FSR), awarded by the rating agency AM Best. The new Executive Committee team will continue Fidelidade Moçambique's commitment to creating sustainable value, being close to customers and partners, and promoting innovative and inclusive solutions to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the sector.
