Daniel Chapo took office in an environment of popular revolt in Mozambique

Yesterday morning Chapo was sworn in by the Constitutional Council in an environment of popular discord, political parties and civil society, while this was happening the Defense and Security Forces, UIR, and the Police claimed victims throughout the city as part of patrols in armored cars throughout the city of Maputo and outskirts to prevent the rebels from approaching the ceremony site.

Chapo, considered the fifth Pres ident of the Republic of Mozambique, was sworn in in an atypical environment where he promised to reduce the size of the government, taking as a benchmark the number of ministries and ministers, in the same vein he wants to eliminate the figure of State Secretariats similar to ministries, on the other shift promised to do away with the role of Secretary of State and Vice-Ministers
