BCI to host Mozambique-Italy Business Forum

On September 15th, BCI will host the Mozambique-Italy Business Forum in the auditorium of its headquarters in Maputo. The meeting will bring together government representatives, business leaders, and financial institutions to discuss investment and innovation opportunities in the agribusiness sector.

Organized by the Italian Embassy in Maputo, in partnership with the Mozambique-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CCMI) and other partners, with the support of the BCI, the Forum will focus on economic opportunities for Italian and Mozambican companies in the agricultural sector. The main objectives include attracting foreign direct investment, transferring agricultural technology, and strengthening strategic cooperation between Mozambique and Italy.

The Forum will take place under the motto: “Italy for Agribusiness in Mozambique – Growing Together with the Mattei Plan”.

The official launch of the event took place within the scope of FACIM, through a press conference that was attended, among other personalities, by the Director of BCI, George Mandawa.

In his speech, George Mandawa emphasized that holding this event reflects the BCI's continued commitment to economic development and the promotion of bilateral cooperation, especially in strategic sectors.

It should be noted that, in June 2024, BCI hosted the Mozambique-Italy Business Forum, a business meeting that promoted the exchange and exploration of investment opportunities between Mozambican and Italian companies from various sectors, with a focus on energy, infrastructure, logistics, construction and agriculture.
