BCI promotes financial literacy in Bilene and Maputo

As part of Global Money Week, Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI) promoted financial literacy initiatives aimed at young people and students, reinforcing its commitment to financial education and inclusion in communities.

In the district of Bilene, Gaza province, a session was held for teenagers aged 14 to 18, members of the Kutsaca Association. The training, with the participation of dozens of young people, was adapted to the target audience, prioritizing a humanized, practical and interactive approach.

Topics covered included responsible money management, saving even with small amounts, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The use of storytelling allowed for greater engagement and practical assessment of content assimilation. Notably, more than 10 young people were identified as financial literacy ambassadors, committing to sharing their knowledge in their communities. This initiative represents a continuation of the partnership with the Kutsaca Association, following the action carried out in September 2025.

Also within the scope of Global Money Week, BCI held a session at the Higher Institute of Communication and Image of Mozambique (ISCIM), in the city of Maputo, with the participation of more than 70 students and coordinators.

Under the motto "The financial intelligence we build today guarantees our freedom tomorrow," aligned with the theme "Smart Money Talks," the session highlighted the importance of financial education for conscious and sustainable decisions. The event took place in a dynamic environment, with strong student participation, who shared experiences on income management, savings, and everyday challenges.

The initiative was led by the Regional Director, Ângelo Mazive, and was attended by other managers, highlighting the Bank's strategic alignment.

These actions reflect BCI's ongoing commitment to promoting a more informed, aware, and financially responsible society, contributing to the sustainable development of Mozambique.
