BCI donates books to the Mepanhira Children's Center

The Commercial and Investment Bank (BCI) recently delivered a collection of books from different fields of knowledge to the Mepanhira Children's Center, located in the province of Niassa.

The initiative aims to promote access to knowledge, encourage reading habits, and contribute to the educational and social development of children aged 0 to 7 years old who are cared for by the institution.

On that occasion, the Manager of the BCI branch in Mecanhelas, Felizardo Miguel, reiterated the Bank's commitment to education and the promotion of knowledge, highlighting that: "Within the scope of our social responsibility program, we want to contribute to ensuring that more and more people have access to knowledge and that spaces like this have better conditions to support the training of future generations."

Recognizing the role played by the Mepanhira Children's Center in the community, the BCI representative further emphasized that: “We pay very special attention to institutions like this. We know that the work carried out here requires dedication, patience, love and enormous daily commitment. More than providing shelter, this home offers care, guidance, affection and hope to the children it welcomes. And that deserves all our respect and recognition.”

This action is part of the celebrations of BCI's 30th anniversary and reflects its ongoing commitment to promoting education, reading, and the development of human capital. The initiative also reinforces the Bank's conviction that knowledge is one of the fundamental pillars for the sustainable development of Mozambique.
