BCI awards the best ISCIM graduates

Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI), reinforcing its role as a strategic partner in educational development in Mozambique, was present at the 7th Graduation Ceremony of the Higher Institute of Communication and Image of Mozambique (ISCIM), held last Saturday, December 14, in Maputo. At the solemn ceremony, BCI awarded prizes to the best graduates of the Accounting and Auditing, Business Management and Management Information Technology courses, recognizing the academic merit and dedication of the students. The Regional Commercial Director, Anaisa Gouveia, presented the awards to the best students at an event in which 174 students, including bachelors and masters, graduated. On the sidelines of the ceremony, Anaisa Gouveia highlighted the Bank’s commitment to education, stating that “with this award, BCI recognizes all the effort and dedication made by students in their search for knowledge and also reinforces its commitment to supporting education, one of the most important driving forces behind a country’s social, cultural and economic development.” The BCI representative also said that the Bank’s focus is excellence and, therefore, BCI positions itself as the right partner for university students and higher education in the country.

In turn, Maomede Naguib Omar, General Director of ISCIM, highlighted in his speech the importance of the institution he heads in training qualified professionals. “As a higher education institution, ISCIM has the privilege of offering all those who join it the opportunity to acquire and develop the knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes necessary for their growth and development. Training qualified professionals, prepared to face the challenges of the contemporary world, requires more than just scientific and technical learning. It requires the responsibility of training honest and conscious human beings,” he stated. Maomede Omar also emphasized that ISCIM will continue to work to reach qualitatively higher levels in its academic and social practices.

In the collective message from the graduates, the students expressed their gratitude and determination to transform the knowledge acquired during their academic journey. “Despite our differences, we share the same purpose: to be agents of change committed to the development of our society. The education we received has shaped us and equipped us for the challenges that await us. And now, we are ready to transform knowledge into action. With this initiative, BCI reinforces its commitment to education and young talent, establishing itself as a leading partner in building a promising future for Mozambique.
