The Commercial and Investment Bank (BCI) hosted, this Monday, in its Auditorium in Maputo, the Mozambique-Italy Business Forum, an initiative promoted by the Italian Embassy and the Mozambique-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
The meeting brought together government and business representatives from both countries with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation and bringing the private sectors closer together, exploring new partnership opportunities. The initiative focused on identifying innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions capable of transforming agribusiness into an engine of growth and economic development.
According to Roberto Mito Albino, Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Fisheries of the Republic of Mozambique, "Italy has been a strategic partner in the development of our agricultural sector, particularly through its support for structural programs aimed at agrarian modernization, productive inclusion, and climate resilience." He emphasized: "Today, we celebrate not only the results achieved, but also the mutual trust that allows us to envision an even more promising future."
In turn, the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests of the Italian Republic (MASAF), Francesco Lollobrigida, emphasized: "The presence of Italian companies at this forum is a guarantee of our willingness to engage with Mozambique on its demands, problems, and solutions. I confirm Italy's willingness to work together to strengthen Mozambique and make it a richer and stronger country."
For BCI, this forum represents a unique opportunity to discuss strategic issues that contribute to an increasingly favorable business environment, driving investment in sectors and reinforcing the Bank's commitment to Mozambique's sustainable growth.
