Banco aposta na formação interna para enfrentar novo ciclo fiscal

At a time when changes in tax legislation are gaining weight in the business environment, Millennium bim has decided to invest in strengthening internal skills as a way to better support the business sector in Mozambique.

The banking institution recently brought together executives from the areas of Companies, Corporate Banking and Investments in a technical session dedicated to interpreting the new tax measures. The meeting comes as a direct response to the growing complexity of the tax system and the need for rapid adaptation by companies.

More than just a training activity, the initiative reflects a strategy geared towards anticipating risks and opportunities, allowing the bank to position itself as an active partner in supporting the decision-making of its corporate clients.

The workshop was led by Ismael Faquir, from I2A Consultoria, who presented an in-depth analysis of the ongoing changes, highlighting their practical effects on business operations, with a particular focus on international operations and the broadening of the tax base.

During the session, the Executive Director for Corporate and Investment Banking, Januário Valente, argued that the current situation demands financial institutions that are better prepared and closer to the business sector. He explained that the ability to interpret the new tax framework will be crucial to ensuring effective solutions tailored to clients' needs.

However, experts believe that the ongoing tax reforms represent a structural change in the national tax system, aiming for greater efficiency, transparency, and alignment with global economic dynamics. Nevertheless, they warn that the success of these measures will depend largely on the clarity of their regulations and the capacity for implementation.

With this investment in internal training, Millennium bim seeks not only to adapt to new legal requirements, but also to reinforce its role in supporting the sustainable development of the business sector, in an increasingly challenging economic environment.
