51-year-old man dies at his lover's house under mysterious circumstances in Inhagoia.

A 51-year-old man was found dead in the backyard of a residence in the Inhagoia neighborhood of Maputo city last weekend. The house belongs to his alleged lover, who has been missing since the incident. The body was discovered in the backyard of the house, with the front door locked – a detail that aroused suspicion among the neighbors. According to family accounts, the man had left home without giving any explanation. The victim's mother stated that she only received one phone call from the alleged lover, in which she informed her that her partner "was lying in the backyard." Official confirmation of the death, however, only reached the family two days later. According to witnesses, the man was seen limping and trying to enter the woman's residence the day before his body was found. After his disappearance, the alleged lover returned to the house, where she made "strange movements" and prevented neighbors from approaching. Shortly after, she fled the scene, abandoning the house she rented and leaving the body behind – supposedly in the care of the children who lived with her. The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) and the Police of the Republic of Mozambique have been activated and have already begun investigations. The woman's whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities are appealing for the public's cooperation in clarifying this case.
