More than 60 Veterans of the National Liberation Struggle Awarded

The award was presented last Wednesday (03) at the Infulene Institute of Health Sciences. attributed to veterans of the Mozambican Liberation Struggle, note that 77 National Liberation Struggle Veterans were decorated in 3 groups of 26, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ceremony was chaired by Her Excellency Secretary of State in the City of Maputo, Sheila Santana Afonso.

She also stressed that the 77 winners today are the ones who honor the titles they were awarded, especially the Veteran Medal of the Liberation Struggle of Mozambique, awarded in recognition of the active participation of our combatants in the armed struggle, in the diplomatic combat, in the battle for recognition of human and peoples’ rights in the battle for the triumph of independence, democracy, peace and social justice.

It is worth emphasizing that the Secretary of State appeals to the citizens of our city to strictly comply with the preventive measures, as we continue to see people gathered in the Markets, at the stops, at the Conservatories, Civil Identification, INATER, who do not observe the measures: social distance and wearing a mask. COVID-19 exists and we are losing human lives, in January alone we had 157 deaths and 8,937 positive cases.
