The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) in Zambézia province seized on Monday (February 8) 106 kilograms of cannabis sativa, commonly known as soruma.
In connection with the case, the owner of the merchandise and two buyers who confessed that they smoke the drug are being detained.
According to Alif Saíde, head of the Public Relations Office at the SERNIC Provincial Directorate, the seizure occurred in Licuar, in the district of Nicoadala. “We were alerted about the sale of the goods and activated our lines of operation. On the ground, they neutralized the owner and his goods, ”said Alif Saíde, speaking to the press.
The owner of the product said that he received 106 kilograms from the city of Beira, with the aim of selling to support his family.
