Mozambique has 6 casualties for later game

From the list of 23 called up announced on October 26 by Luís Gonçalves, five were unable to travel to Doualá, a last-minute drop…

Side defender Edmilson Dove (Cape Town City), striker Amâncio Canhembe (Marítimo) and lock Ricardo Mondlane (AD Sanjoanense) were crossed out on the eve of the trip to Doualá and confirmed casualties for an entire operation, the first two due to injury and the last due to illness.

To make up for these absences, Luís Gonçalves sounded the alarm and triggered the arrival of firemen Salomão (Costa do sol) Gildo Vilanculos (Amora FC) and Kamo-Kamo (Vitória de Setúbal).

But as bad luck never comes alone, the Mozambican Football Federation ended up announcing this Tuesday, November 10th, the unavailability of Stanley Ratifo. For no apparent reason, that entity called the striker a “card out of the deck” for the Douala game.

However, the hope is alive that the athlete who plays for CfR Pforzheim – club of the Fifth Division of Germany – will arrive in Maputo in time to dispute the 16 November meeting at the National Stadium of Zimpeto.

For all intents and purposes, these capital absences give life to a wide range of setbacks that started with the absence of Mexer, due to injury, then followed Simão Mathe Júnior who was not authorized to represent the selection of his own country, lastly the disease Ricardo Mondlane.
